qwertyuiop... or something

Hooray for family!

Logan and I got to spend Christmas with BOTH families this year! yay! We spent Christmas eve and morning here in Portland then headed down for the rest of Christmas and then a good chunk of Boxing day down in Sisters. We got to ride the zoolights train too! :) I love being married! I'm just sad that he had to go back to work this week :( I won't see my Logan until Friday :P :( that makes me sad.... I'm going to go play the piano and try to feel better.

This is us at zoolights, ain't we cute? I like the lights, I think we were standing in front of the tiger exhibit, I think he was hiding because it was cold.

New plans guys :)

Well guys... it's been a road. One that was originally planned to be four years long.

That didn't happen obviously, we were engaged on January 8th, 2005. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

So the plan was modified to 18 months, and along the winding way from January to December there have been a lot of up and downs, emotionally, spiritually and of course physically up and down I-5. Even couple times a little further south, down to Sisters :)

Now plans have changed again.
Logan and I, through prayer and waiting on God and discussions with many loved ones older and wiser than ourselves, have officially moved our wedding date up to December 17th, 2005. That's right folks, two weeks. Yeah, we're crazy kids in love, what can we say? We're going to be having a small family wedding, probably in my parent's living or dining room. But no worries, we still want to have everyone dear and (in some cases not-so) near to us to be a part of our move to marriage... hood. We'll be having a BIG reception in a couple months. The reason for waiting so long to have the big reception is 1) my brother Rylan can be there then 2) consideration for out of state/country guests 3) Logan's job and 4) because we said so :P

Above all else we want to thank each and everyone who has been and is still a part of our lives for being there for us and supporting us throughout our lives and especially through our engagement. We love you ALL and will be sending out many many lovely wedding pictures and save-the-date cards for the reception so keep your eyes peeled... but not really, because that sounds gross.

And as always everyone, please, play safe. I know those logs laying around town may seem "safe" even "friendly" but you never know which ones may contain nuts. Thank you.

aaaaaaaww... poor little thing!

Hokay, so Hayden and I were traveling about the little Neopet world in search of food for Cameron's dying neopets when suddenly Hayden pointed to the screen and said, "click there, it's sad" I don't know why I was intrigued by this by I clicked anyway and it was sad! You click on this little dot off in nowhere land and it brings up a picture of this sad little .... thing... (some sort of cute stuffed toy that looked quite depressed) It was the "discarded magical blue grundo plushie of prosperity" I can't believe that name, it is so beautiful.... and yet so, tragically, ironic. It said next to the picture that you couldn't talk to it though, because it was a toy and wouldn't talk back. And that's it! you can't help the poor little thing, you can't pick it up and give it to someone else... all you can do it look at it... neopets you are surly!!!! *sniff* you are uncaring...

It's seven o'clock guys....

It's SEVEN O'CLOCK and we're just getting the "morning light", you know when things kinda look blue? It's supposed to happen within about the 5 o'clock hour, well.... I think so anyway. But today, and recently, it's been happening about 7 o'clock and that's just weird. Winter just HAS to be different doesn't it? You don't see summer gettin the sun up at 4 do you? No. You don't. Maybe winter has an inferiority complex because it thinks that everyone like the warmer seasons better. Personally I like winter and fall, it's crisp and nice.... well.... unless you live in Portland... then more often than not it's wet and coldISH but not cold enough to actually really be worth whining about. It's annoying when you feel cold but you can't just call someone up and whine at them, "Duuuuude it's so cold!" because they'd ask "Is is snowing?" of course you'd have to answer, "........ no ......" and then they would absolutely have license to mock you because if it's not snowing yet it's not really REALLY cold and so you're obviously a wuss. Well MLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHH I gueaa I'm a wuss coz it's COLD :P

That was eventful

hokay, so.

Mom, the kids and myself were just out for a lovely drive to Joylynn's place via downtown to see the lights. Unfortunately we never made it there. I guess the serpentine belt on the van slipped off or something anyway there were battery lights and the-engine-is-way-too-hot lights coming on and dinging and the power steering was gone and the kids were screaming and fireworks were shooting out of the back tires and hundreds of caribou were stampeding though waterfront and SWAT teams were coming down out of the trees ALL AROUND US!!!!! Well.... three out of seven ain't bad... that's nearly half. So, anyway, we pulled into a parking lot. Mom was pretty stressed so the kids were kinda freaked. Cameron was almost in tears because he thought we were never getting home, which ya know if we couldn't call anyone to come get us or come fix the van and our feet were cut off so we couldn't walk home and the river was, like, the ocean... he'd pretty much be right. So there we were, children of the streets, living day to day with little hope and even less Applebees 9oz. house sirloins with garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. We had to survive somehow so we left mom to defend the van if needed with her karate chop action and we ventured off to forage for food. Which turned out to be easy enough since across the parking lot, through the bushes, across another parking lot, a couple sidewalks, a street and ANOTHER parking lot there was a seven eleven. Once we braved the crosswalk and stumbled into the store half dead from starvation I gave the kids six bucks to purchase the essentials: gummy candies, airheads, a slurpie and candy bars. On the way back to the van we decided that we should be children of the sidewalks since the streets were wet, dark and kind of full of traffic. No sooner had we piled back into the van and started into our bounteous feast when Joylynn came a-riding though the rain in her valiant black steed... I mean, truck. WE WERE SAVED!!! Alas... we had to leave Mom, but equipped with that lightning fast karate chop action she should be ok. Dad and Tom went to fix the van and rescue her and Joylynn headed back down after dropping us safe at home because her children wanted to see their Gramma.

Was that a harrowing tale or what? Wow, I tell you what wow.

I like cookies

I drink more tea when I have ginger nuts to eat too. Too bad they don't sell them at the Aussie shop downtown :P Oh well... I want a pasty.

Guess what guys

New Zealanders don't celebrate thanksgiving.

You may think this is terribly and utterly obvious.... aaand you'd be right. I'm so blonde sometimes, I was chatting with my gonna be mum-in-law about thanksgiving and what she and my gonna be dad-in-law will be doing and she said he didn't really care all that much and they'd probably sit around and eat cold cereal. I didn't really think about other countries not celebrating thanksgiving, you know why? Because Canada does.

And you know if Canada does something... pretty much everyone does.... except New Zealand.... they don't.

Giving of thanks is tomorrow

So... when does the happy come? I'm in a crazy weird :P blah :( mood tonight. I can't really describe it which is why I used faces. I want to eat but I'm not terribly hungry... I'm sort of depressed, frustrated and sad... I hate that I'm so emotional about everything and I wish that I knew how to better control my emotional responses to things..... grrrrr... I want to rest...

tetley's tea and ginger nuts!

Yuuuuuuuuuum! With milk and goodness, mmmm MMMM mmmm MMMM mmmm!

For those who don't know, ginger nuts are cookies. The ones I have are from the Australian pie shop in Burien, WA so they are shipped from Australia but the cookies are also made in New Zealand. I like them a lot :) The pies are alright, they're kinda like pasties but not as good. ;) (I'm gonna get yelled at for that comment, hehehe) They're sort of like pot pies without the veggies... unless you order them with veggies, but even then they aren't the same as pot pies... quite different actually. I suppose you all will have to try them for yourselves. I like them alright.

Next on the "exotic" foods agenda is to introduce Logan (and Brandon and Lindsey) to the wondrous world of PASTIES!!!! YAAAAAAAAAAY PASTIES!!! Yum yum yum! Gotta love the fillins! None of that silly gravy, pffft. (hehehe, I'm gonna get yelled at more for calling the great and glorious gravy silly)

na na yummy... amen Wyatt, amen

That is how Wyatt sings "Jesus loves me" but not the "normal" way (you know, Jesus loves me this I know.. etc). Oh no, not MY nephew :D He just sings "na na yummy, na na yummy, na na yummy...." I got to spend the night at with the Joylynn, Wyatt and Genevieve Reardons last night. Fun times, I got my homework done mostly but was, unfortunately, about fifteen minutes late. :P Now I'm not working cause I'm switching shifts with a coworker.

And Lauren Hemenway says I'm stupid :P I say she has green hair.

Then we both decided we'd lied so I'm not stupid and she doesn't have green hair.... but... if that's the case... what color IS that??????

Alyssas are emotional

Military life can be crap. Being engaged to military life can be crap too.

Crying on the bus is not my favorite... For that matter neither is crying in the library or at the bus stop, I think in general sad crying is not my favorite.

Ruben sandwiches are close to my favorite.

Why now?

the printer is running out of black ink, that sucks. I'm trying to finish some graphic design homework and it looks like crap. I suppose I could get everything else ready but the copies I'm trying to finish and get up in a few hours and go to the 24 hour Kinkos.

How crappy would the swing shift at Kinkos be? I think mischeif and mayhem would ensure were I to be employed at such an establishment and working at ridiculous hours of the night and morning when my being there would only be appreciated by the extremely lonely and/or the procrastinating graphic design student.

My head hurts... ow

I think I was sitting too close to the tv when I watched Batman Begins (cool movie by the way).

I totally took my bike off a sweet jump today guys. Actually, all I did was jump up a little slope on the edge of a driveway but it was the first time I've ever actually gotten both wheels off the ground off of a ramp of any sort. I am so excited!!! This is just one of the first steps, I already got over my fear of riding up onto curbs, I am well on my way to riding with Logan on cool looking things and maybe even learning some tricks and not just taking pictures at Tim's house. Though that is wicked kickin' fun :D I can't wait!

and now it's time to go to sleep :) yay for sleep, and yay more for not having to get on the bus at 6:45 tomorrow morning because I don't have school tomorrow! YAY! :D :D :D

I've forgotten....

I keep thinking of things I want to post about and then forget what they are... Then forget about blogging.... Then forget that I've forgotten and convince myself that I've already posted about whatever was funny that day.

it's a vicious cycle really...
