Hooray for fun times

Logan and I got back from our Sisters trip yesterday. It was super fun. I met many people including Logan's grandma, aunt, uncle and their dog which means that along with his Mum, Dad, brother, grandpa and his parent's dog, I hung out with his entire American family this weekend. :) I liked it a lot. I'm getting a great family :D I also met some friends; some of whose names I remember, such as Tim the guy with crazy dogs, Barry, Kathy, The Overstreets, Brad the guy at EuroSports (affectionately known by Hilmans as "Logan's bike shop" since he used to work there) and a greater some whom I've forgotten the names of but would probably remember if I were reminded: Kathy and Barry's daughter, their little LITTLE dog whom Logan threw across the room into its bed (that was funny), the video store lady (who gave us free movies and has lovely smelling flowers in her store). One of Logan's old teachers was too busy to hook up or something, another friend was not home when we visited so we stuck a note to his door with a throwing knife :) that was fun, aaaaaand I think that's about it, oh there were a few ladies at the ranch and some people at church whose names have also been forgotten.

haha, Cameron is funny. Logan's Grandma gave me a REALLY SUPER cute picture of him when he was about 4 holding a sheep. Cameron, being the city kid he is, thought at first that the sheep as a goat I laughed and told him that it was a sheep. That was yesterday. Just now we had a little conversation that went like this.
"Lyssa?"
"Yeah Cam?"
"You know that picture of Logan when he was little?"
"Yeah"
"Well, you know that llama, camel, whatever-it-is that he was holding?"
*laughs* "It's a sheep, what about it?"
"Is it real?"
*laughs again* "Yeah, it's real"
*blank look* "Oh"

I just realized I say yeah a lot. Oh well, whatever. I got to tramp and slide through the woods, over, under and around boulders with Logan to his and Brandon's "secret spot" that was beautiful but I was scared to be there because I had slipperyish shoes and we were on top of a huge snowy boulder next to a fast moving, very cold looking river. Logan said that's where he would have liked to propose to me and I told him that I'm glad he didn't because it proves that things don't have to turn out just like you imagined them for them to be perfect. :) We also drove around Bend and I got a Surly sticker that may still be in Logan's truck, and a hunting baseball cap which I know to be at my house. Anyway, I like being in Sisters, I love being with Allan and Kathryn (and their family), I love love LOVE being with Logan, and I like tea with milk and ginger nuts a LOT :) They all say I'll fit into the family well, especially after Allan asked Logan which side of the garage his truck was parked on (meaning the right or left side of the driveway) and I said it was parked on the front side. :) The only thing that I would say the Godsiff home needs is crayons.

Now I must go for I work tonight and getting ready is gonna take a while cause I feel like crap :P I think I'll make myself some tea before I go, I wish I had some ginger nuts.

What's a cowboy doing at PCC?

I was just researching gladitorial armor online (which I must say was a bit of a disappointment as is the number of books, or any other media for that matter, on the subject here at Sylvania) and I found this little website of projects about the ancient world done by some 6th graders somewhere. I didn't really read any of their papers but I looked at their posters and 3-D art, typical 6th grade work paper machè mummies, clay models of the coliseum and the Sphinx, that sort of thing. My absolute favorite thing on the entire website was the title of a paper on mummification written by a girl named Liza, she called it: "The mystical, magic world of death". That made me laugh, a lot... but quietly because I'm at school.

There is a cowboy next to me. No Logan, he is not cute or hot or anything... Actually I haven't really looked at him I just know he's a cowboy because I can see a large black cowboy hat out of the corner of my eye. So there :P

I love you Logan, you're my favorite :D I CAN'T WAIT TO GO TO SISTERS!!! YAY!!! Oh! We need to buy ice cream for the drive, Ben and Jerry's ice cream. Mmmmmmmm :)

Too much Lord of the Rings....

do I sound like Frodo or what? I feel like Frodo.

I'm a Finn and Finns gots sisu

I am impatient.... I understand that Logan has crazy hours sometimes but come on! It's 10:42 can't he be done with work YET??? *sigh* Ah well, it's all good right? ... man! how in the world am I going to last 17 months?! I guess I either learn to trust in the Lord's timing and in the wisdom He's given my father in telling us to wait and the grace that He's given us to humbly submit to Daddy's authority in my life.... or elope. ;) ha ha, we wouldn't elope. We have far too much good sense to run off with Logan expecting to be gone who knows when. Reluctantly leaving me alone, lonely, and more than likely too freaked out to call Mom and Dad. Heh heh, thinking about it amuses me though, it'd be so stupid of us. It's way better to wait, honestly I don't fully believe myself when I say that but I know it's true. :) *sigh* It'll be good. I just have to trust.

It's an odd feeling knowing that there will be tough times ahead and facing those hardships head on. I feel as though I'm standing against a thousand foes and though I haven't the strength, will, or fortitude to defeat them all I know I must and in my heart of hearts I know I can, and I will.

Yes, June is good. ;) We went out to eat with his grandpa, then to the aquarium :) then to the PX and his grandpa headed home. Then we went over to the barracks so I could see his bunk, meet his buddies and play mortal combat! Then we went to the tiniest train station EVER and I headed home. I didn't get a window seat :( oh well, good times. Goooood times. I hope he can come down this weekend. We'll see.

ice everywhere

work was so slow this morning and I was so bored I just kept finding things to dust. Andy says I work too hard. But I didn't want to watch football and I felt guilty doing crosswords because they make me forget to watch the door.

Highlight of the day: I'M TAKING THE TRAIN TO SEE MY FIANCE TOMORROW!!!! YAY!!! HOORAY!!!

He told me I didn't sound excited, I told him I was too frozen to be excited. It's freaking cold. Speaking of ice I was a good Sammy!!! (Samaratin) I helped and older gentleman by the name of R.L. to get to the house he was making his way to without slipping and falling. :) helping people makes me happy. Hooray for being a good and nice person!! HOORAY EVEN MORE FOR SEEING MY LOGAN TOMORROW!!! :) :) :)
