some of one of my new favorite songs

...the book of love has music in it
in fact that's where music comes from
some of it's just transcendental
and some of it's just really dumb
but I
I love it when you sing to me
and you
you can sing me anything
the book of love is long and boring
and written long ago
it's full of flowers and heart shaped boxes
and things we're all too young to know
but I
I love it when you give me things
and you
you ought to give me wedding rings...

I want to have my first married dance with Logan to this song, we'll see....

What? Where the heck did you hear a magnetic fields song?

on a movie, they played towards the end of the American version of "Shall We Dance?" but Magnetic Fields (whoever they are..) doesn't sing it, Peter Gabriel does.

That is one of the funniest things ever! A Magnetic Fields song in a movie like Shall We Dance. Oh man. I knew his stuff had been in movies... but. that's funny.

I love that song, too, by the way. They are amazing. I was fortunate enough to see them live, thanks to my music geek fiancee.

that's sweet. I don't think I'll get to see anyone live because of my fiance... the last concert he went to was a band called Three Inches of Blood and he went stagediving only to be dropped on his head by the crowd... silly silly boy. Luckily he jumped out of a plane and landed faster and harder than he was expecting a couple days later which cracked his back and neck real good and stopped the migranes... my poor silly fiance.
