. . . the Mom and kids go to Oregon!
While Logan was gone for training for a week then insanely busy the next week with more training the kids and I headed south to enjoy some Grandparent and cousin time!
June 14th was cousin Garrett's first birthday. I was all caught up in the festivities and didn't even grab my camera to take pictures of the fun but I did manage to sneak into the den after dark and capture my little guy.
Soon after we packed up again and took off for
Sisters!
I think this was the first full day we were there. These kids know how to take advantage of ranch time! ;)
Rowan told his Gremmy that since he had a cowboy hat he must be a cowboy and should therefore ride a horse. This of course was music to Gremmy's ears and she gladly saddled up her sweet Peanut.
Katie is finally big enough and was more than happy to join in the rock throwing fun.
Some fence sittin' and fun in the cattle trailer
are just a taste of the good times ;)

We also enjoyed some quieter moments.
Not to mention a champion bubble blower!
Fish Factory
One fine day Gremmy and I loaded the kiddos into the truck and went up to Camp Sherman and the Wizard Falls Fish Hatchery. Which Rowan called the "fish factory", not too far off there buddy ;)
It must be hard to be so cute ALL the time!
How does she do it??
Rowan was "hiding" behind the long grass so the fish would swim closer to the bank.
By the time we finished it was naptime and Katie was pretty fussy. Rowan being the sweet big brother he is did his best to comfort her until we got back to the house.
Duplo time!
Back in Portland...
Katie joined Uncle Hayden for a "duet"
And after a long two weeks we got to see Logan again! If only for a minute as he and his buddy Marcus were on their way to a downhill mountain bike race on Mt Hood!
Race day we got to bring Uncle Hayden and cousin Wyatt.

On Marcus' run we were much more vigilant! Here he is on a tricky section of the course.
Rowan and Wyatt were great little spectators cheering for just about everyone (even after they'd ridden out of earshot!)
We really lucked out with the weather!
Tough guys
They didn't win any trophies but they both did great and are hoping to get another chance to race there on July 8th. This time I'll be sure to know what Logan is wearing before he comes down the hill!

Great post!! It was music to Gremmy's ears, and heart, for Rowan to want to ride. Can't wait to do it again. Thanks so much for coming over :)
I always love to see your Sister's pictures. Your children sure have variety in their lives. From your more suburban neighborhood, to our urban one, to the ranch and outdoor adventures far and near. Always ready for the next one.
What troopers they are!
Glad you have a camera on hand most of the time :0)
