A month in the life of us

Okay! Here we go. It's been a month and we've been up to quite a bit. We got a new back door which Logan and my dad installed (and it's amazing!), Rowan got a baby drum set, took a short trip to Sisters, went on our first family hike with Katie, bought a sprinkler toy for Ro, took Rowan on his first MAX train ride in Portland, saw the new dinosaur exhibit at the Oregon Zoo, celebrated Logan's birthday, Goddy spent the night, and Rowan learned how to shoot an arrow!

DOORS

We have bats living behind our gutter,
they come out at dusk or when we grill.
Say hello to my little friend

Fun times at the park :D

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO LOGAN!

(Since we're a day behind NZ we celebrated on June 5th, his "real" birthday, as well as the 6th, his "calendar" birthday)

Rowan made a birthday cake from a crayon and viewmaster slides :)

birthday cake "pistol"

Rowan got, ready, set and ran off but got distracted by a newspaper stand and ended up having to catch up.

Dad's little iron man and maiden ;)
(Rowan actually says Iron Man is his dad)

Katie is getting to be super giggly.

Rowan has been wanting a bow and arrows so Logan made him a bow from a stick and a shoelace. They went out yesterday with some of my arrows and Logan helped Rowan take a couple of shots at my deer target. Rowan is actually a surprisingly natural archer! He was only about 15 feet away but he was hitting it and his form is pretty darn good!

GREAT post!!!!!

Is that boy of yours a lefty? I'm going to have to make a point to show those archery pictures to Dad.

You have had a busy month but your family seems to thrive on adventure! It's wonderful to have these photographic documentation of all the comings and goings.

Thanks mom! He seems to be a lefty only when it comes to archery. Go figure.

Katie looks much more happy in her Iron Maiden t-shirt than Rowan in his IronMan. You have adorable children Mrs Godsiff!
